WHAT IS VOCOLAIR
Vocolair™ is an in-line ventilator speaking valve designed to enable speech in tracheostomized patients receiving mechanical ventilation or High-Flow Oxygen Therapy.
Vocolair is an in-line ventilator speaking valve intended for tracheostomized patients receiving mechanical ventilation or High-Flow Oxygen Therapy. The device enables speech by directing exhaled airflow through the upper airway when the tracheostomy cuff is fully deflated. Vocolair may remain in-line within the respiratory circuit during mechanical ventilation in both cuff-inflated and cuff-deflated conditions, and during High-Flow Oxygen Therapy when the cuff is deflated.

Product Code: VVSV-523
HOW IT WORKS
Engineered for Safety, Simplicity, and Seamless Integration.
Cuff up Compatible
Designed to remain in-line within the respiratory circuit, Vocolair allows ventilation to continue without requiring device removal. During mechanical ventilation only, the device may remain in place in both cuff-inflated and cuff-deflated conditions. This configuration reduces reliance on manual removal during care transitions and helps limit exposure to unintended use conditions. Speech requires a fully deflated cuff.

In-Line Design
Vocolair is designed for in-line placement within the respiratory circuit, allowing respiratory
support to continue without routine circuit disconnection. This configuration facilitates integration
into standard mechanical ventilation and High-Flow Oxygen Therapy setups.

Optimized Workflow
Designed to remain in-line during transitions to and from speech, Vocolair supports use across cuff conditions, ventilation modes, and High-Flow Oxygen Therapy. This configuration reduces the need for repeated circuit manipulation during routine patient management.

High-Flow Oxygen Therapy Compatible
Vocolair has been evaluated for use with the Airvo™ High-Flow Oxygen Therapy system (Fisher & Paykel), including Optiflow™ interfaces.
